In 1995 Jerry Harrington decided it was time to start his own bakery. He had been working as a baker for some time and felt the heritage, craftsmanship and values of the ancient craft of Irish bread making should be maintained. Therefore Jerry converted his garage into a bakery and started baking high quality Irish breads and bracks, using only the finest, purest, 100% Natural, wholesome ingredients. Harringtons Bakery was born!


In 2011 Harringtons opened a purpose built bakery at Gortamullen Business Park in Kenmare. Nowadays 7 artisan bakers work here day and night. They produce a wide range of breads and bracks, which are delivered throughout the counties Kerry & Cork. Harringtons Bakery is what we call a small batch producer (vs. larger continuous manufacturers), which enables total commitment to product quality and flexibility.
